Care Instructions

Our fabric is hardwearing and easy to clean, a simple vacuuming to remove dust and dirt on a regular basis will help keep it looking clean. If a more thorough clean is needed, simply unzip the covers and remove the inserts to wash the covers. Wash your covers at a maximum of 30 degrees celsius and do not tumble dry. Full washing instructions can be found on the cover care label.

Steer clear from any harsh cleaning products and wipe up spills quickly with an absorbent cloth or paper towel.

As with any piece of furniture, extended exposure in direct sunlight may cause discolouration to the fabric and the timber over time.

How will my sofa bed arrive?

Your sofa bed will come in the following four boxes (dimensions are in mm):

  • Back and arms: 2040mm (l) x 860mm (w) x 230mm (h) - 31kg 
  • Base:  (1960mm (l) x 990mm (w) x 110mm (h) - 43kg
  • Cushions: 900mm (l) x 490mm x (w) x 490 (h) - 30kg
  • Covers: 560mm (l) x 340mm x 160mm (h) - 5kg

Please note, the covers will come separately to the pillow inserts, so you’ll need to put the covers on when the sofa bed arrives. To help with this, we have prepared an assembly instruction video.

How much weight can the Slideaway Sofa Bed withstand?

The Slideaway Sofa Bed has been designed to be lightweight but incredibly strong & durable.

Your sofa bed weighs approximately 105kg in total & can withstand up to 300kg in weight.

How long will my sofa bed cushions take to expand?

All of the cushions on your Slideaway Sofa Bed have been compressed. Once opened the cushions can take up to 48 hours to completely recover. We suggest plumping up the side and the back cushions by hand for a quicker recovery time.

Where is the Slideaway Sofa Bed made?

The Slideaway Sofa Bed is designed by our in-house product and design teams, and made to the highest quality by our trusted manufacturing partner in Hangzhou, China. It took about two years for our team to design and develop the product through multiple prototypes and user testing sessions.

What is the Slideaway Sofa Bed made of?

The Slideaway Sofa has a frame built from a combination of sustainably sourced solid American Ash timber and plywood with veneer to ensure it will be with you for years to come. All timber on the product is finished with a Natural Low VOC oil. 

The seat cushions are made from multilayered foams to achieve the optimal level of comfort and support, wrapped in a plush memory foam duvet wrap. The cushions are made from a mixture of recycled memory foam and polyester fibre. Loose cushions on the sofa bed are filled with recycled memory foam and fibre fill.

Our covers are made from a 100% polyester fabric which is durable yet soft and inviting.

How can I recycle the packaging?

To dispose of your packaging, you can add the cardboard to your recycling or compost bin.

    Obsessed with this couch!!

    Completely obsessed with this sofa. We actually spend most of our time on it stretched out as a day bed. It’s like sitting on a mattress. It’s actually kind of dangerous because it’s sent me to sleep on more that one occasion.

    Have and will continue to recommend to everyone I know.

    Note: the pillows not quite fitting on the sofa here I think are only because they were fresh from the box. They’ve flattened now.

    Great product

    I love our Sofa Bed—it's super stylish and comfy. It's also perfect as a day bed for lounging around and relaxing. When I had a little issue with the slider sticking, I received excellent service over and above what was needed. I can highly recommend this company.

    Sideway the best!

    I bought this sofa bed after seeing on Instagram. I was a bit worried not seeing it in person but it was highly rated online. The slideaway is probably one of the best things I’ve bought! Super easy to put together, comfortable and looks amazing. We have a pretty small living area and sits perfectly in the space. All the cushions are very thick but I’m sure they’ll flatten over time.

    Only down side is how lazy I’ve become lounging around on the day bed.

    Easy 5 stars. Would recommend, especially if you have a smaller space and need a bed for guests.

    Beautiful Sofa Bed

    I love my Eva Slideaway Sofa Bed which deserves all the accolades it has garnered. Beautifully designed with great functionality in mind. It sits in my spare room which I use as a meditation retreat and art room. Excellent and caring customer service from Amanda, Jason and Megan who helped me when I was hopeless at assembling the sofa bed. 11/10
